Job Description:
Job Title : Senior Accountant / Supervisor
Location : Lancaster, PA (Onsite)
Duration : Full Time
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant / Supervisor to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, a collaborative mindset, and leadership potential to oversee and mentor junior staff. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting while supporting process improvements and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Supervise and mentor junior accountants and accounting interns; provide ongoing training and performance feedback
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Coordinate with external auditors during audit processes
- Leverage accounting software and other tools to streamline processes and reporting
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Represent the firm or company in community or professional events, when applicable
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management
- 2–6 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
- Demonstrated ability to oversee, develop, and train junior staff (desired)
- CPA license, or eligibility and intent to obtain CPA licensure (preferred)
- High proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, ERP systems) and general technology use
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated community involvement or volunteer leadership experience (a plus)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
