Job Description: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Long Term Care (LTC)
Location: Wakefield, MI
Start Date: January 12, 2026 tentative
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Hours: 8 hours/day
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours/week (40 scheduled; 30-minute unpaid meal break daily)
Weekend Requirement: Rotational (typically 1 weekend off per month)
Job Summary
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting, you will support residents with daily living activities and provide compassionate, high-quality care to enhance their quality of life. This position is located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, where winter driving conditions are common.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, dressing, and nail care.
- Safely ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
- Provide comfort, emotional support, and person-centered care to long-term care residents.
- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents at all times.
- Follow infection control practices, safety guidelines, and facility policies.
- Accurately document care provided according to facility and regulatory standards.
Special Notes
- Michigan-based clinicians and those with experience driving and/or working in winter weather conditions will be prioritized due to seasonal conditions in the Upper Peninsula.
- No public transportation is available — all travelers must have their own vehicle or rental and be comfortable driving in winter conditions.
Submission Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of current/recent CNA experience – Required
- Active BLS Certification (ARC preferred; AHA accepted) – Required
- Active Michigan CNA license at time of submission – Required
- Traveler must have own vehicle or rental – Required
