Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Cost Accountant with strong manufacturing accounting experience to support cost analysis, inventory accounting, standard costing, and financial reporting activities. This role will work closely with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and operational reporting.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manufacturing environments with strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory reconciliation, and month-end close activities.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and analyze manufacturing and production costs.
• Perform standard costing and monthly variance analysis.
• Maintain accurate inventory accounting for Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods.
• Support month-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and operational analysis.
• Review and reconcile inventory and general ledger accounts.
• Support physical inventory counts and inventory control processes.
• Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS), margins, and operational cost trends.
• Assist with BOM maintenance, cost roll updates, and ERP system support.
• Support audit preparation and internal control compliance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within costing and inventory functions.
• Collaborate with production, supply chain, and finance teams on operational reporting and cost analysis.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3 - 5 years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Standard Costing and Inventory Accounting.
• Experience with variance analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Understanding of US GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience supporting ERP systems and manufacturing accounting processes.
