Position Overview
The Plant Controller is the financial leader for the manufacturing facility, responsible for ensuring accurate cost accounting, strong financial controls, and data-driven decision support. This role partners closely with plant leadership to improve efficiency, profitability, and operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead all plant accounting activities including cost accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Maintain and update BOMs, routings, and standard cost models.
- Analyze production costs and recommend cost-reduction strategies.
- Manage inventory valuation, cycle counts, and variance investigations.
- Support operations, supply chain, and sales with financial insights.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and operational KPI reports.
- Drive the annual budget process and rolling forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in accounting/finance; CPA/CMA a plus.
- 8 years in accounting with at least 5 years in plant/manufacturing finance.
- Expertise in cost accounting and inventory analysis.
- Strong ERP experience (manufacturing-focused preferred).
- Advanced Excel and solid analytical capabilities.
- Strong communicator and cross-functional partner.
