The Sales Operations Specialist role helps support the Global Sales function by managing territory definitions, ensuring pipeline hygiene, and handling additional administrative tasks as needed. This role can be a great introduction to the fast-paced world of corporate sales, and combines data analysis, process management, and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
- Execution of lead management assignment processes to ensure that sales leads are being assigned to the proper Sales Executive and to ensure that existing leads are updated upon territory changes/new hires.
- Execution of Territory Management rules in Salesforce CRM. Ensure that Accounts are assigned to the proper salesperson and that all existing account ownership is updated upon territory changes and/or new hires.
- Perform UAT testing of sales related bugs and enhancements in conjunction with colleagues in Operations.
- Utilize the Request for Proposal (RFP) library to respond to commonly asked questions on RFPs & vendor request forms.
- Support regional sales teams with transactional opportunity management tasks.
- Assist the sales team with running internal reports such as: Attendee reports, spend reports, global reports.
- Coordinate with the Service Operations team to resolve any pending customer issues or cases.
- Process tax exemptions requests for the Americas and EMEA regions.
- Perform other duties as needed, including following up on open invoices.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or 2-4 years of relevant experience in sales operations, customer service, or corporate sales
- Proficient in MS Excel, data analysis skills, and affinity to dig deep into details
- Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills (commercial, operational, organizational, global) and experience analyzing large data sets
- Must have strong prioritization skills and the ability to handle multiple projects with competing priorities
- Exceptional oral and written communications skills.
- Experience with fast-paced, sales-force driven business models preferred
- Experiencing serving and interacting with end customers via a sales support, sales, or customer service role is preferred
- Languages: English (required) & Spanish (a plus)
