Acadiana Restoration & Construction Services, LLC is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Mitigation & Reconstruction Technician to join our growing team. This hands-on position is responsible for assisting with emergency property mitigation and reconstruction services following water, fire, and storm damage. The ideal candidate enjoys physical work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and is eager to build a long-term career in the restoration and construction industry.

Every day is different. One day you may be responding to a water loss by extracting water and setting drying equipment, while the next you could be assisting with demolition, drywall installation, painting, flooring, trim work, or other reconstruction tasks. Our goal is to restore homes and businesses efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service during a stressful time for our clients.

Acadiana Restoration is a 24/7 emergency response company. While our normal business hours are Monday through Friday, emergency losses can occur at any time, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Team members may be required to respond to after-hours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation or as business needs require. Employees who respond to after-hours, weekend, or holiday call-outs will be compensated according to company pay policies, including applicable overtime and/or additional call-out compensation.

Job Duties

  • Respond to emergency water, fire, and storm damage calls.
  • Perform water extraction and structural drying procedures.
  • Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment.
  • Assist with demolition and removal of damaged building materials.
  • Perform drywall, insulation, painting, flooring, trim, and other reconstruction tasks.
  • Take moisture readings and document job progress.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
  • Clean and maintain company vehicles, tools, and restoration equipment.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, insurance representatives, and team members.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support restoration and reconstruction projects.

QualificationsRequired

  • Valid driver's license (clean driving record preferred).
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds or more.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including heat and outdoor conditions.
  • Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation and respond to emergency call-outs when scheduled.

Preferred

  • Previous restoration, construction, or remodeling experience.
  • Experience with drywall, painting, flooring, framing, or finish carpentry.
  • Experience operating power tools and construction equipment.
  • IICRC certifications or a willingness to obtain them.
  • Forklift or skid steer experience is a plus.

Pay: $10.00 - $21.00 per hour
