The Risk Management department at Acadian Ambulance is currently seeking candidates for a full time Records Production Specialist position.
This role within the Compliance Department reports directly to the Compliance Director. This role processes medical and billing records requests and incoming patient inquiries. This is an in-office position with a Monday through Friday schedule, from 8am - 5pm. No work from home or remote options available.

Entering new requests in the production software;
Monitor and respond to emails in a shared inbox;
Review record requests for compliance with HIPAA and applicable laws;
Communicate with requesters as needed to obtain proper request documentation;
Research within multiple record platforms to locate requested medical records, bills and other documents; Coordinate with internal departments to verify completeness;
Review and complete affidavits or other certifications as needed;
Fulfill approved requests by transmitting documents via secure email and regular mail;
Answering incoming calls pertaining to records requests & subpoenas;
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
HS Diploma or GED equivalent
Proficiency with basic computer applications and ability to learn new platforms quickly
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to meet productivity goals and comply with departmental policies and guidelines
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Working knowledge of HIPAA, privacy/confidentiality, and Red Flag rules
