Position Overview The Camp Coordinator is a seasonal, on-site position responsible for supporting the daily operations of Pilot Summer Academy. This role assists with scheduling, activity logistics, communication, and the overall camper and staff experience. The Camp Coordinator works closely with the Camp Director, counselors, and Teaching Fellows to ensure camp runs smoothly, safely, and in alignment with the camp’s mission to provide a fun, inclusive, and enriching environment for all participants. Essential Responsibilities Support the Camp Director in daily camp operations, scheduling, and logistics Assist with camper check-in, dismissal, attendance tracking, and group transitions Communicate daily updates and needs to counselors, Teaching Fellows, and other staff Help organize materials, supplies, and activity spaces for STEAM rotations and camp events Serve as a point of contact for minor camper or staff needs, questions, or concerns Ensure camp spaces are safe, clean, and organized throughout the day Assist in supervising campers during transitions, lunch, and spe
Requirements / Qualifications
Required Documents & Pre-Employment Requirements: Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and two professional references from current or former supervisors. Candidates must also provide official transcripts, a current negative TB test result or TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire, complete required training, and successfully complete Livescan fingerprinting. Employment is contingent upon obtaining fingerprint clearance from the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Required Qualifications Previous camp counselor experience Bachelor’s degree in education, child development, recreation, or a related field working with students Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Ability to lead and support both campers and staff in a fast-paced environment Responsible, dependable, and professional in communication and problem-solving Must be available for all training dates and full camp sessions. Training will take place on June 11, 2026 and June 12, 2026 from 8 am to 4 pm. Camp runs from June 15, 2026 through June 17, 2026 from 8 am to 4 pm
