The Academy of Our Lady of Peace seeks substitute teachers who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of OLP students by upholding and communicating the school mission, philosophy, and core values while modeling behavior that inspires excellence and enthusiasm, helping students grow to become young women of heart, faith, and courage in the spirit of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. OLP is a diverse school community of 750 girls and on average 95 employees. Collectively we strive to educate young women of heart, faith, courage and excellence. As the oldest high school in San Diego and only remaining all girls’ Catholic high school, celebrating 140 years educating young women, OLP takes pride in honoring both its traditions of sisterhood, alongside a spirit of innovation. The school celebrates a diverse student body with close to 18% of its students calling Baja California home, commuting across the US - Mexico border each day. Upwards of 70% of the student body identify as women of color, coming from over 82 different zip codes across all of San Diego. Applicants must show a willingness to support diverse student learners. General Teacher Responsibilities: Provide supervision of instruction. The substitute teacher will follow daily directions from the teacher of record. Report on daily student progress. Maintain classroom expectations.

Upon hiring you will be required to submit proof of current (within 60 days) negative TB test or TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire, Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance, Valid CA Driver’s License, and provide all official transcripts associated with meeting academic requirements.
