Employment Type: Substitute, On-Call

FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE: Applicants must already be fingerprinted and cleared through the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) Fingerprint Clearinghouse prior to applying. You can visit SDCOE Fingerprinting for information on obtaining fingerprints. (Do not submit an application until your fingerprints are completed)

You can access this part of your credential by clicking on the document number in your CTC online portal. Certificates will not be accepted and will automatically be screened out.

Job Summary
Under administrative direction, a Certificated Substitute in the San Dieguito Union High School District works on a flexible, on-call basis, providing temporary instructional support in middle and high school classrooms. This role involves stepping in for absent regular teachers, implementing lesson plans, and maintaining classroom order. The substitute should be adaptable, able to teach various subjects, and communicate effectively with students and staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Possession of a valid California Teaching Credential with or without an English Learners Authorization
- A valid California issued 30-Day Substitute Permit
- Fingerprint clearance through the San Diego County Office of Education Fingerprint Clearinghouse
