Duties
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy education, math, science, and/or social studies.
- Utilize learning technology and educational resources to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, including standardized testing preparations.
- Provide individualized support and tutoring to students needing extra help, including those with special education needs or on the autism spectrum.
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and parents to support early childhood education initiatives and early intervention programs.
- Incorporate diverse instructional methods and pedagogical approaches to meet varied learning styles.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral incidents in compliance with education administration standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- A valid Florida teaching certificate, statement of eligibility, or temporary certification is required.
- Proven classroom experience working with children in early childhood or elementary settings is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment strategies.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other special needs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of learning technology tools and digital resources used in modern classrooms.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior proactively while fostering an inclusive environment.
