POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the supervision of the Program Director, provide clinical oversight for staff and clients consistent with maximizing service delivery to the clients served. The position requires an individual who consistently works to achieve both personal and work-unit goals; effectively extends cooperative efforts beyond the confines of the department or discipline; interacts/deals effectively with others even in adverse conditions; is willing to go the extra mile to meet the needs and expectations of individuals, families and communities; is genuine passionate, professional, transparent and responsible. The Clinical Supervisor must have excellent customer service skills and able to develop internal and external resources and customer relationships. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinates clinical and counseling services for the program.
- Supervises counselors and as needed, other program staff.
- Completes employee evaluations and performance improvement plans.
- Reports all grievances and incidents to the Program Director and assists with investigations and completes all required documentation.
- Performs regular chart audits, conducts quality assurance, and reports performance improvement data and trends to the Program Director.
- Develops and maintains client clinical groups and activities schedules.
- Assists staff with client diagnosis, treatment planning decisions, and counseling approaches.
- Assists Program Director, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and mental health staff with the coordination of mental health services.
- Facilitates weekly team meetings and case conferences.
- Ensures qualitative, accurate, and timely documentation.
- Participates in clinical and administrative team meetings.
- Participates in utilization review and quality assurance activities.
- Assists with manager on call responsibilities in the evening and weekends as needed.
- Works collaboratively with treatment team to ensure comprehensive service plans and evaluations are completed, with quality, in a timely manner.
- Works collaboratively with outreach team to identify and screen referrals for admission
- Holds a small caseload as needed to support the clinical team
- Runs groups as needed to support clinical needs of the program.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- LMSW/LMHC/LMFT or eligible for licensing, or CASAC or other equivalent license with supervisory clinical experience.
- Qualified Health Professional (QHP) required
- 3 years of prior clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment setting.
- Demonstrate skills in strength-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed care.
- Basic computer skills for word processing and spreadsheet use
- Effective communication skills
- Strong follow-up skills required
- Ability to work in and be sensitive to a culturally diverse environment
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure and operate with a keen sense of urgency and commitment to quality.
- Must hold Clinical foundations I and II training certificates
- Bi-lingual Spanish Speaking, preferred
