Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Attorney to join our business Development Team. We need someone familiar with legal research and deriving legal opinions and approach to new business verticals. They include Insurance, Tech and real estate.
Duties
- Provide expert legal advice and counsel across various practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, and patent law.
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments with precision and clarity.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and court proceedings with confidence and professionalism.
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining meticulous records of case progress and documentation within the law office management system.
- Stay informed about evolving laws and regulations relevant to practice areas through ongoing research and professional development.
- Support the firm’s administrative functions by maintaining organized case files and assisting with legal administrative tasks as needed.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation procedures, patent law.
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to gather pertinent case law and statutory information efficiently.
- Strong negotiation skills to advocate effectively on behalf of clients during settlements or dispute resolutions.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting clear legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed legal research and analysis to support case development.
- Experience with legal drafting tailored to various practice areas with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with legal administrative processes including case management software and document organization systems.
