Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and laying sod or seed for lawns
- Perform routine lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to keep outdoor spaces vibrant
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery like excavators for various landscaping projects
- Maintain landscape features by pruning trees and shrubs, performing tree care, and trimming to promote healthy growth
- Support hardscape construction including the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures
- Conduct irrigation system setup and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas
- Carry out snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible when needed
Experience
- Prior experience or familiarity with landscaping tasks such as mowing, gardening, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Basic mechanical knowledge related to operating equipment like excavators or power tools is advantageous
- Knowledge of horticulture principles, plant care, and tree trimming techniques is a plus
- Experience working with hand tools and understanding safety procedures in construction or outdoor work environments is beneficial
- Ability to follow detailed instructions while working independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
