Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel lobby, including floors, furniture, and fixtures through regular cleaning routines such as vacuuming and floor care.
• Handle various cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and chemical agents, ensuring all sanitation standards are met or exceeded.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment like vacuums, buffers, and mops while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines for chemical handling.
• Assist with manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies or furniture to support housekeeping operations.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and chemicals are stored securely following safety protocols and hotel housekeeping management procedures.
• Support other housekeeping staff with custodial duties during busy periods or special events to uphold the hotel's high standards of cleanliness.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to lobby cleanliness or safety, providing excellent customer service at all times.

Skills

• Proven experience in floor cleaning, industrial cleaning, or janitorial roles within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, chemical handling, and safety data sheets (SDS) compliance.
• Skilled in operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and other floor care tools.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during custodial tasks or when moving furniture or supplies.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude toward guests and team members.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for everyone.
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience or custodial experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
