Today, we pride ourselves on being expert designers and certified technicians who "make life easier through technology".Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Audio Video Technician to join our team of experts. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of high-end audio and video systems for residential, commercial, and automotive clients.Responsibilities

  • Installation: Set up and integrate home theaters, smart home automation (Control4), distributed audio/video systems, and IT networking infrastructure.
  • Mobile Electronics: Perform custom car audio, security system, and remote start installations.
  • Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with hardware, wiring, and software.
  • Client Interaction: Work directly with customers to understand their needs and provide professional on-site training for their new systems.
  • Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained for peak performance.

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audio Video Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of audio and video systems. Your expertise will ensure seamless operation of our clients’ entertainment, communication, and automation systems, contributing to their overall satisfaction and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Install audio, video, telecommunication, and control systems according to schematics and technical specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and system upgrades to ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot software issues, hardware failures, and connectivity problems efficiently using hand tools and diagnostic software
  • Manage cabling, wiring, and mechanical components with precision to meet safety standards
  • Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals for system setup and repairs
  • Conduct field service visits to client sites for troubleshooting, repairs, or system upgrades
  • Maintain detailed records of service activities, system configurations, and maintenance logs

Skills

  • Strong electrical experience with a focus on low voltage systems and telecommunication infrastructure
  • Proficiency in using hand tools for cabling, mechanical adjustments, and installations
  • Knowledge of E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) principles relevant to AV systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot software issues related to AV hardware or control systems effectively
  • Familiarity with computer hardware components involved in AV setups
  • Experience reading schematics and technical diagrams for complex wiring or system layouts
  • Mechanical knowledge for mounting equipment securely in various environments
  • Excellent field service skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Basic understanding of telecommunications systems and related cabling standards
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical certification or previous AV experience highly preferred but not required
