SUMMARY: The Director of Human Resources strategically leads the company’s Human Resources operations. This role aligns recruitment, training, compliance, and compensation practices with overall business objectives to create a motivated and compliant workforce.

- Oversee and direct overall strategy and ensure processes support the company’s mission
- Manage recruiting and staffing practices to attract and retain top talent
- Oversee employee development, performance management, and succession planning
- Ensure regulatory compliance and develop policies that guide operations
- Foster positive employee relations and address conflicts effectively
- Design and administer competitive compensation packages, including workers compensation, pension, and 401(k) plans
- This role oversees the Human Resources Department
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related area
- 10 years’ experience of increasing responsibility in Human Resources leadership positions
- Labor relations experience
- Extensive knowledge of health & welfare
- Extensive knowledge of pension plans
- Extensive knowledge of 401(k) administration
- Familiarity and understanding of employment laws and regulations including the Railway Labor Act, EEO, Affirmative Action, ERISA, FMLA, USERRA, wage and hour laws, workplace health & safety and workers compensation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Master’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or Organizational Development
- SPHR certification
- Financial and accounting knowledge a plus
