Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Entry Level Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their accounting skills within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will support various accounting functions, including data entry, account reconciliations, and financial record maintenance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Prior experience with accounting software (QuickBooks) and financial concepts is preferred but not required, as training will be provided to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry for financial transactions using QuickBooks.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist with payroll management.
- Support budgeting, credit analysis, and financial reporting activities
- Maintain organized documentation of all financial records and supporting documents
- Collaborate with team members on various accounting projects to ensure timely completion
Requirements
- Basic understanding of accounting principles such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting
- Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks or similar platforms
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong math skills and analytical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
