General Description
Responsibilities & Duties
- Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems.
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain project productions
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs on Tribal Complex and Tribal properties
- Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repairs
- Perform a variety of plumbing, heating- related, air conditioning, welding, landscaping, carpentry, electrical maintenance at all Tribal properties as assigned
- Use and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, electrical equipment, and material handling equipment to perform duties and complete projects
- Assist the Facilities Maintenance Manager and Lt. Governor in projects and repairs as needed
- Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to, backhoe, dump truck, grater, and front-end loader
- Detect faulty operations, defective materials, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Assist in preparing tribal properties for ceremonial functions as assigned
- Inspect equipment for wear and for conformance to specifications.
- Construct, rebuild and repair Tribal buildings and/or facilities, including various wood and metal structures, equipment, and furniture; prepare surfaces for repairs
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma and 1 year experience in related field.
- Proficient knowledge and understand of general maintenance.
- Must have heavy equipment experience.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- A valid Oklahoma Commerical Driver’s License REQUIRED
Working Conditions
- Able to work in weather including but not limited to, ice, snow, extreme heat and rain
- Required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, climb for extended periods of time.
- Have good physical strength and stamina;
- Be independent, responsible and self-disciplined;
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Sitting or standing or walking for long period of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing and visual acuity.
