Vice President, Sales & Marketing – Prodia Dental
Location: Either On-Site or Remote with regular travel to Lewis Center
You don’t have to live in the Columbus, OH area, but you do have to lead from the front.
Prodia Dental isn’t just another brand launch—it’s a fundamentally different go-to-market strategy inside Abrasive Technology.
For over 55 years, Abrasive Technology has designed and manufactured dental products (most notably Two Striper) and sold them through distribution; Prodia changes that.
We’re building a direct-to-dentist model designed to remove inefficiencies, reduce non–value-added margin layers, and create a more compelling value proposition for clinicians.
This is effectively a startup inside an established, respected manufacturer, with the visibility, backing, and expectations that come with it.
What You’ll Own
This is a true build-and-lead role.
- Stand up and scale the Prodia commercial strategy (sales marketing)
- Lead and develop a small, high-performing team of sales and business development professionals
- Drive direct-to-customer growth in a market traditionally controlled by distributors
- Shape the brand, messaging, and market positioning for Prodia
- Partner closely with executive leadership on strategy, pricing, and channel decisions
- Present regularly to the Board of Directors on performance, strategy, and growth plans
- Build a repeatable, scalable sales engine from the ground up
Who This Role Is Built For
This is not a “maintain the machine” role.
We’re looking for someone with an insurgent mindset, someone who sees the opportunity to challenge how the dental industry has always operated and wants to be part of building something better.
You’ll likely be a strong fit if you:
- Have deep experience in dental device or dental consumables sales
- Understand (and maybe feel frustrated by) the traditional dealer/distribution model
- Are excited by a direct-to-customer approach
- Are comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and building from scratch
- Are willing to bet on yourself with a compensation structure weighted toward performance
- Have experience leading teams but still enjoy being close to the customer and the deal
