What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visual Inspector position at Abrasive-Form, Inc.?
Basic Function: Conducts visual inspections of the parts on the production floor at the machine.
Tasks:
- Follows the visual quality criteria for inspection for the part.
- Identifies nonconforming parts, segregates and documents according to work instructions.
- Communicates immediately to the Production Supervisor and or Quality Manager/Technician, any questionable non-conforming parts.
- Resolve the operator’s concerns on questionable parts.
- Submit quality records for all parts inspected at the end of job in job traveler.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Familiar with visual inspection techniques.
Experience and Education:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in quality capacity.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a machining environment.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to do work requiring some stooping and bending.
- Physical strength to lift and carry 25 pounds frequently.
- Visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and to inspect machined parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
