Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the process of assembling all the components needed to execute customer jobs on the shop floor.
- Coordinate availability of the various components of the full kit, including communicating status and targets.
- Ensure the list of upcoming jobs is kept up to date, prioritized, and visible within the organization, including the status of each component of the full kits by job.
- Ensure that any job that is not full kitted is flagged to the Scheduler to avoid induction of the job.
- Ensure that enough full kits are ready in advance to enable the smooth and timely launch of work to meet customer needs.
- Analyze the effectiveness of the process and make improvements to increase the availability of full kit jobs.
- Develop and implement a solution to reduce lead times for items needed for full kits.
- Implement solutions to reduce the organization time and effort to full kit jobs through process improvement and communication.
- Fully own the full kitting process by developing, creating and implementing processes necessary to accelerate jobs through production.
- Hold others accountable to following the process established, includes communicating with peers and leadership to raise issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Required
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Four or more years of extensive work experience in a complex, precision machining environment.
- Prior experience managing full kit.
- Ability to use a computer, Microsoft Office, vendor portal systems, and carrier label software.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent audit skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Must have the ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment.
- Must be highly organized and pay close attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a CNC machine operator.
- Bilingual is a plus.
Physical Demands
Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs frequently. Must be able to work in a plant environment with loud noise as well as an office environment. Physical ability to do work requiring frequent standing, stooping and bending.
Working Environment
Usual manufacturing environment with temperature fluctuations, noise from and interactions with equipment, and safety standards of PPE and practices required.
