- Managing and directing the softball program.
- All aspects of the team including training (practice/weightlifting/conditioning), competing, fundraising, service to the community, and scheduling
- Organizes and maintains an accurate inventory of softball equipment and uniforms.
- Coordinate travel arrangements.
- Commits to and is responsible for adhering to all rules and regulations set forth for the team, the institution, and the GCAA Conference
- Completes other assigned administrative duties.
- Recruiting including calling prospective student-athletes, evaluating high school and junior college players
- Works cooperatively with personnel in the athletics department, attends athletic department meetings and activities, and always represents ABAC positively and professionally when interacting with the community, high school and travel ball coaches, media and general public.
- Coordinates facility needs of visiting teams.
- Performs other duties as requested by the Athletic Director
- This position will comply with Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, SSAC and NAIA rules and regulations.The Head Coach will work cooperatively and responsibly with other ABAC faculty and staff. The position will support the student-athlete concept and will demonstrate concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete. This position will perform additional duties as assigned.
- First Aid and CPR Certification Required within a month after hire
- Prior Collegiate Coaching Experience or Playing Experience, and Familiarity with SSAC and NAIA Rules and Regulations Preferred
- Bachelor Degree or Masters Degree Preferred
