Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Real Estate Assistant to support a busy real estate professional/team. This independent contractor role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple aspects of the listing and transaction process while delivering excellent service to clients and cooperating brokers.
Scope of Services:
Listing Management
- Prepare and manage MLS listings from start to finish
- Coordinate property details, measurements, photos, and required documentation
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with local MLS and New Mexico real estate regulations
- Maintain listing timelines and ensure all deadlines are met
Marketing
- Create and implement marketing plans for listings
- Coordinate professional photography, signage, and marketing materials
- Draft property descriptions and marketing copy
- Promote listings across MLS, social media, email campaigns, and other platforms
Seller Communication
- Provide regular updates to sellers regarding listing activity, showings, and market feedback
- Maintain consistent communication to ensure a high level of client satisfaction
- Relay feedback from showings and buyer brokers in a timely manner
Transaction Coordination
- Manage transactions from contract to closing
- Track and ensure completion of all contractual deadlines and contingencies
- Coordinate with title companies, lenders, inspectors, and other parties
- Maintain organized transaction files and documentation
Showing Coordination & Property Access
- Schedule and manage showing requests
- Provide property access to buyer brokers and their clients when needed
- Ensure properties are secure before and after showings
- Maintain a professional and courteous presence when interacting with agents and clients
Buyer Support (Occasional)
- Conduct buyer showings as needed on behalf of the team lead
- Assist with pre-closing final walk-throughs
- Provide feedback and updates to the team lead following showings
Qualifications
- Active New Mexico real estate license preferred
- Prior real estate or transaction coordination experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of MLS systems and NMAR Contracts
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and familiarity with the local market
Independent Contractor Terms
- This is a 1099 independent contractor role; the contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and business expenses
- Compensation (Negotiable)
- Contractor maintains control over how services are performed, while meeting agreed-upon deadlines and service expectations
- Contractor provides their own tools, equipment, and resources unless otherwise agreed
