JOB TITLE: Folder Gluer Operator
DEPARTMENT: Gluing & Finishing
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is operating gluing machines that are used for joining items for further processing to form a complete product to contribute towards the achievement of departmental and company goals and objectives. This requires strong machine operator experience.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Examines and measures completed materials or products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring devices such as tape measures, gauges, or calipers
- Adjusts machine components according to specifications such as widths, lengths, and thickness of materials and amounts of glue or adhesive required
- Monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions, report or resolve problems
- Reads work orders and communicates with coworkers to determine machine and equipment settings and adjustments, and supply and product specifications
- Fills machine with glue or adhesives materials
- Mounts or loads materials in feeding mechanisms or gluing machines
- Inputs production records such as quantities, materials processed, and actual production data
- Starts machines, and turns valves or moves controls to feed, admit, apply, or transfer materials and adhesives, and to adjust temperature pressure and time settings
- Performs full line clearance for changeover of forms, copies to ensure product from previous form/copy/job is off the glue line
- Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s safety and quality standards, policies, and practices
- Conforms and completes weekly, monthly, and quarterly mandatory maintenance program and logs as required
- Consistently adheres to all Company standards, policies, and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum of Two (2) years production or manufacturing experience or a combination of experience and education
- Minimum of two (2) years as an operator on gluing machinery.
