JOB TITLE: 2nd Pressman
DEPARTMENT: Printing Press
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to assist 1st Pressman in the overall operation on the printing press.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Reviews job ticket requirements while interacting with other press personnel.
- Verifies that appropriate approvals for color, copy, coating, stock type, stock gauge and stock size are congruent with job ticket instructions and job components staged for use on press.
- Reviews coating K/O requirements.
- Maintains appropriate ink, coating and water levels during press run.
- Reviews pull sheets from press run to verify color, copy, and position match approvals.
- Responsible for prepping press for next production run; sheets, plates, ink.
- Ensures that nonconforming material is segregated and tagged prior to leaving the pressroom.
- Responsible for safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Two years manufacturing experience or a combination of experience and education
