About AGL Aerospace

AGL Aerospace Corp. is an FAA Part 145 Certified Repair Station specializing in the repair and overhaul of aircraft engines, engine accessories, airframe components, pneumatic, hydraulic, fuel, and structural systems. We are approved by the FAA, EASA, UK CAA, and other international authorities, serving commercial airlines, MROs, leasing companies, and military operators worldwide.

As we continue our rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance / Inspector of Quality to join our Quality Management System and ensure the highest levels of regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance / Inspector of Quality is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining all aspects of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with FAA Part 145 regulations, EASA Part-145, UK CAA, AS9110 standards, customer requirements, and industry best practices.

This position serves as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, customers, and certification bodies while leading the Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Inspection, and Internal Audit functions of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance

  • Maintain continuous compliance with:
  • FAA Part 145
  • EASA Part-145
  • UK CAA Part-145
  • AS9110 Quality Management System
  • AC 145 guidance material
  • Airworthiness Directives (ADs)
  • Manufacturer Maintenance Manuals
  • Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM)
  • Service Bulletins
  • FAA Orders and Advisory Circulars
  • Ensure Repair Station Manual (RSM), Quality Control Manual (QCM), and all quality procedures remain current.
  • Maintain all repair station certificates and operating approvals.
  • Ensure all operations comply with applicable aviation regulations.

Quality Management System

  • Lead and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System.
  • Develop, revise, and implement quality policies and procedures.
  • Establish measurable quality objectives and KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor quality trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain document control systems.
  • Ensure process standardization throughout all departments.

Internal Audits

Develop and manage the annual internal audit program including:

  • FAA Part 145 compliance audits
  • EASA compliance audits
  • UK CAA compliance audits
  • Supplier audits
  • Process audits
  • Product audits
  • Work order audits
  • Records audits
  • Tool calibration audits
  • Training compliance audits
  • Shelf-life audits
  • Material traceability audits
  • Receiving inspection audits
  • Final inspection audits
  • Human Factors compliance audits

Prepare detailed audit reports including:

  • Findings
  • Root cause analysis
  • Corrective actions
  • Preventive actions
  • Verification of effectiveness
  • Management review presentations

External Audits

Serve as the primary company representative during:

  • FAA inspections
  • FAA surveillance
  • EASA audits
  • UK CAA audits
  • Customer audits
  • Airline audits
  • Military audits
  • Leasing company audits
  • Supplier audits

Responsibilities include:

  • Audit preparation
  • Documentation review
  • Escorting auditors
  • Responding to findings
  • Corrective action plans
  • Closing audit findings
  • Maintaining audit readiness year-round

Quality Assurance Leadership

Assisting into leading the Quality Department including:

  • Inspectors
  • Receiving Inspection
  • Final Inspection
  • Quality Engineers
  • Internal Auditors
  • Document Control personnel
  • Calibration Coordinator
  • Quality Administrators

Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)

Develop and manage CAPA processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Corrective Actions
  • Preventive Actions
  • Risk Assessments
  • Effectiveness Reviews
  • Trend Analysis
  • Continuous Improvement Programs

Use structured methodologies such as:

  • 5 Why
  • Fishbone Diagram
  • Pareto Analysis
  • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

Supplier Quality

Develop and oversee supplier quality programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supplier qualification
  • Supplier approval
  • Supplier audits
  • Vendor performance monitoring
  • Supplier corrective actions
  • Approved Vendor List management
  • Material conformity reviews

Customer Quality

Serve as the quality liaison for customers regarding:

  • Quality concerns
  • Escalations
  • Warranty investigations
  • Non-conformance reports
  • Customer corrective actions
  • Technical quality meetings
  • Quality performance reviews

Support Sales and Customer Service during customer visits and technical presentations.

Quality Metrics

Develop and monitor KPIs including:

  • Audit findings
  • Escape defects
  • Rework rates
  • First Pass Yield
  • Turnaround Time impacts
  • Customer complaints
  • Warranty claims
  • Supplier defects
  • Inspection efficiency
  • Scrap rates
  • On-time corrective action closure
  • Employee training compliance

Present monthly quality reports to Executive Management.

Documentation Control

Maintain and control:

  • Repair Station Manual
  • Quality Control Manual
  • Procedures
  • Work Instructions
  • Technical Publications
  • Forms
  • Quality Records
  • Calibration Records
  • Training Records
  • Regulatory Correspondence

Ensure document revisions are properly controlled and distributed.

Training

Develop and oversee quality-related training including:

  • FAA regulations
  • Human Factors
  • Safety Management
  • Inspection techniques
  • Regulatory updates
  • Internal auditor training
  • Quality awareness
  • Technical procedure updates

Maintain employee qualification records.

Calibration Program

Manage the calibration system ensuring:

  • On-time calibration
  • Tool accountability
  • Calibration vendor oversight
  • Traceability
  • Out-of-tolerance investigations
  • Measurement system integrity

Safety & Risk Management

Partner with executive leadership to support:

  • Safety Management initiatives
  • Human Factors programs
  • Risk Assessments
  • Hazard reporting
  • Process improvement
  • Regulatory risk mitigation

Cross-Functional Leadership

Work closely with:

  • President
  • VP of Strategic Programs
  • Operations

to ensure company objectives are achieved while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Aviation, Quality, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of aviation quality experience
  • Extensive FAA Part 145 experience
  • Strong knowledge of EASA Part-145 requirements
  • Experience managing regulatory audits
  • Experience leading FAA surveillance inspections
  • Experience developing Quality Management Systems
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant License (preferred, not required)
  • Experience with engine, accessories, and airframe component repair
  • Military and commercial aviation experience
  • International regulatory experience
