Above & Beyond Tree and Shrubbery Service Inc., South Bend’s safety-first arborist team, is seeking an Experienced Tree Service Technician / Arborist to run chainsaws, operate bucket trucks and spider lifts, and deliver five-star customer service.

What You’ll Do

• Tree removal and pruning using chainsaws, bucket trucks, spider lifts, and stump grinders
• Operate heavy equipment including skid steers, wood chippers, and trailers with proper pre- and post-trip inspections
• Client relations including scope walk-throughs and post-job follow-ups
• Site care including debris removal and general landscaping support

Pay & Incentives

• $17–$35 per hour DOE plus 4–8% job-value bonuses
• Holiday pay after 60 days
• PTO accrual after one year
• 401(k) with 4% company match (eligibility after 60 days)
• Additional pay for CDL holders

Schedule & Location

• Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00/6:00 PM
• Occasional Saturdays as needed
• Meet daily at our South Bend, IN shop for dispatch
• Steady, year-round hours

Requirements & Nice-to-Haves

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• 2 years of experience operating bucket trucks, spider lifts, and chainsaws
• Proven background in tree trimming and pruning
• Basic English communication skills and a safety-focused mindset

Nice-to-Have

• CDL license (eligible for additional bonus pay)

Lo Que Harás

• Remoción y poda de árboles utilizando motosierras, camiones con canastilla, elevadores tipo “spider lift” y trituradoras de tocones
• Operar equipo pesado como minicargadores (skid steers), trituradoras de madera y remolques, realizando inspecciones antes y después de cada uso
• Atención al cliente, incluyendo revisión del alcance del trabajo y seguimiento después del servicio
• Mantenimiento del área de trabajo, incluyendo limpieza de escombros y apoyo general en jardinería

Pago e Incentivos

• $17–$35 por hora (según experiencia) más bonificaciones del 4–8% del valor del trabajo
• Pago de días festivos después de 60 días
• Acumulación de PTO (tiempo libre pagado) después de un año
• Plan 401(k) con aportación de la empresa del 4% (elegible después de 60 días)
• Pago adicional para quienes tengan licencia CDL

Horario y Ubicación

• Lunes a viernes, de 7:30 AM a 5:00/6:00 PM
• Sábados ocasionales según sea necesario
• Reunión diaria en nuestro taller en South Bend, IN para despacho
• Horario estable durante todo el año

Requisitos y Deseables

• Licencia de conducir válida y transporte confiable
• Más de 2 años de experiencia operando camiones con canastilla, elevadores tipo “spider lift” y motosierras
• Experiencia comprobada en poda y recorte de árboles
• Habilidades básicas de comunicación en inglés y enfoque en la seguridad

Deseable:

• Licencia CDL (elegible para pago adicional)
