About Our Family
We are a fun, loving family looking for a special person to join us as a collaborative partner and become like family! I am a surgery fellow wrapping up my final year of training. Because my schedule can be unpredictable and demanding, we need a steady, trustworthy presence in our home to help our household run smoothly so I can focus on my training with peace of mind.
Our household features two wonderful boys aged 5 years and 2.5 years. Our 5-year-old is navigating a season of big changes and new faces, so we are looking for someone patient, warm, and comforting who can help foster a secure, loving attachment and bring consistency to their daily routines.
Living Arrangement: Private bedroom in a lovely 2-bedroom apartment (shared bathroom with the children). Please note that street parking is available for your vehicle.
Your Role & Schedule
- Morning Routine: I leave for work anywhere between 5am and 6am. Kids are up around 7am. Take over responsibilities when I head out early, help get the boys ready once they wake for the day, prepare a light breakfast, and walk or drive them to daycare/school just 3 blocks away.
- Mid-Day Break: During the school day on select days, we would love a little help with light household duties (such as kids' laundry and tidying up after the children). Otherwise, once the boys are dropped off, you are off duty!
- Evening Routine (pick-up around 5:00 PM): Pick the boys up and care for them with engaging activities, meals, hygiene routines, and play until I return home (typically between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM).
- Flexibility Note: We are open to a live-out arrangement only if you live very close by and are available for occasional evening/night coverage in the rare event of an emergency surgery call.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Childcare & Enrichment: Planning age-appropriate activities, managing hygiene routines, and providing loving emotional support.
- Transportation: Walking or driving the boys to and from school (just 3 blocks away).
- Household Support: Preparing children's meals, children's laundry, and light housekeeping (vacuuming, tidying, and keeping children's spaces clean).
- Note: We have a wonderful, pet-free home!
