Location: Fort Worth, TX
Duration: 6 months
Employment Type: Contract role on W-2 through Above and Beyond Talent Acquisition, Inc. (A&B Talent)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3x per week in office 
Pay Rate: $25.00 to $30.00

Who we are looking for / Requirements:

We're seeking an experienced Leave of Absence & ADA Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of employee leaves and accommodations while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

• 3 years of experience administering U.S. leave of absence, disability, and ADA accommodation programs.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state leave and disability laws, including ADA, FMLA, PWFA, CFRA, HIPAA, and other multi-state compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage conflict, and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex cases and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative, make decisions under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.

Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:

• Administer end-to-end Leave of Absence programs, partnering with employees, HR, managers, and third-party administrators.
• Manage ADA accommodations and the interactive process, including compliance with the Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act (PWFA).
• Process high-volume leave transactions accurately across payroll, HRIS, and timekeeping systems.
• Partner with Workers' Compensation vendors and HRIS teams to support claims and system integrations.
• Analyze leave data, generate reports, and identify trends to support business decisions.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state leave laws and regulations.
• Process state disability claims and resolve leave-related payroll inquiries.
