We are seeking a highly skilled Experienced Catering Sales Manager to join our team. In this role, you will take over an established book of business and manage a high volume of daily inbound leads. The ideal candidate is a powerhouse closer and master networker.
The primary focus of this position is capturing and executing weddings and large-scale corporate events, complemented by managing a small percentage of daily corporate drop-off/delivery catering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Conversion & Closing: Rapidly respond to daily inbound leads, utilizing top-tier closing skills to convert inquiries into signed wedding and event contracts.
- Segment Management: Focus primary efforts on securing high-revenue wedding business and large-scale corporate events, while managing a steady, smaller volume of daily corporate drop-off catering.
- Networking & Business Development: Actively network within the community, bridal networks, and corporate sectors to source new opportunities.
- Account Management: Maintain and nurture relationships within our established book of business to secure repeat corporate and social clients.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with culinary and event execution departments to ensure flawless delivery for both high-end gala events and daily corporate drop-offs.
- Proposals & Negotiation: Craft persuasive proposals and negotiate profitable contracts using catering software systems.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven success as a Catering Sales Manager in a high-volume catering company, hotel, or event venue.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on knowledge of Caterease software or an equivalent catering CRM/management platform is required.
- Event Specialization: Strong background in selling and planning weddings and large-scale corporate functions.
- Closing & Networking Mastery: Demonstrated ability to close deals quickly and a strong background in professional networking.
- Lead Management: Experience successfully organizing and prioritizing a high volume of daily incoming leads.
- Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and visual presentation skills.
