The Medical Assistant plays an essential role in delivering the About Face - Well Labs patient experience – from first impression through ongoing care. This individual is the heartbeat of the clinical operation, ensuring patients feel seen, supported, and confident throughout their wellness and aesthetic journey. Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Patient Care
- Perform comprehensive clinical intake including recording vital signs and patient history
- Administer injections and perform blood draws
- Assist providers with procedures and general medical tasks
- Prepare, stock, and reset exam and procedure rooms between patient visits
- Educate patients on nutrition, exercise, supplementation, and lifestyle habits aligned with their care plan
Inventory & Operations
- Track, log, and manage clinical inventory and prescription items
- Order and maintain clinical supplies; ensure proper biohazard storage and safety compliance
- Communicate billable charges to the front desk team during patient visits
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and assist with phones and appointment scheduling
- Work collaboratively across clinical and non-clinical teams to deliver a seamless patient experience
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- MA Certification (if not currently certified, please explain)
- Proficiency in venipuncture and laboratory specimen collection
- Working knowledge of EMR systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Emergency Department, ICU, Primary Care, or Orthopedics
- Prior experience in a medical spa, wellness clinic, or hormone therapy setting
