Abnex is looking for a motivated and hands-on Team Lead to support our evening production operations in Buffalo, NY.
This role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing professional who enjoys leading by example, solving problems on the shop floor, and helping the team achieve production, quality, and safety goals. The Team Lead provides day-to-day operational support and coordinates production activities during the second shift while serving as the primary point of contact when senior leadership is not on-site.
Please note: This is a working lead position and does not include formal supervisory or disciplinary responsibilities.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate production activities to support the daily manufacturing schedule.
- Assign work as directed by management and help maintain production flow.
- Monitor production throughout the shift and promptly escalate issues that may impact safety, quality, or productivity.
- Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture, including PPE compliance and safe work practices.
- Verify quality checks are completed and prevent non-conforming product from progressing through production.
- Maintain a visible presence on the production floor, providing guidance and support to team members.
- Prepare accurate end-of-shift reports and communicate production updates, safety concerns, and operational issues.
- Coordinate receiving and shipping activities as needed.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments, verify documentation accuracy, and report discrepancies or damaged materials immediately.
- Help maintain an organized staging area and support efficient material flow.

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain organized and make sound decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
- Forklift experience (or ability to become certified).
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and production employees.
