HVAC Install Helper

Job Summary: 

The HVAC Install Helper assists lead installers and installation teams with the removal, setup, assembly, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This entry- to mid-level position is focused on learning proper installation techniques, following safety guidelines, and ensuring tools, equipment, and materials are prepared and organized for each job. The HVAC Install Helper plays a key role in supporting efficient, high-quality installations while developing skills to advance within the HVAC trade. 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Assist lead installers with HVAC system installations for residential and commercial projects 
• Load, unload, and stage tools, equipment, and materials at job sites 
• Help measure, cut, and assemble ductwork, piping, and other system components 
• Assist in wiring, refrigerant charging, and testing under supervision 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on job sites and in company vehicles 
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines 
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving minor installation issues under guidance 
• Remove and dispose of old equipment in compliance with environmental regulations 
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure proper operation 
• Support accurate completion of job-related paperwork and documentation 
• Learn industry standards, codes, and best practices to grow technical skills 

Qualification/Skills/Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or HVAC coursework preferred 
• No experience required, but prior HVAC, construction, or mechanical experience is a plus 
• Willingness to learn HVAC installation techniques and procedures 
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment 
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred 
• Strong work ethic and willingness to follow directions 
• Ability to work well in a team environment 
• Good communication skills with crew members and customers 
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities 
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work 
• Ability to adapt to changing work environments and priorities 

Travel:
