Wheelchair/Ambulance Driver(EMR Trainee)
This unique, dual-path position begins with a 60-90-day training period as a Wheelchair Transport Driver, followed by advancement to become an Ambulance Driver/Emergency Medical Responder once the company-provided certification course (50 hours) is successfully completed.

Compensation
- Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour as a Wheelchair Transport Driver
- Post-Certification Pay: $18.25 per hour upon obtaining EMR certification
Initial Role: Wheelchair Transport Driver (First 60-90 Days)
- Safe Transportation: Operate a Medical Assistance Vehicle to transport patients safely and efficiently to various medical appointments and facilities.
- Assistance with Mobility: Provide physical assistance to passengers entering and exiting the vehicle, using specialized equipment such as wheelchairs, lifts, as needed.
- Customer Service: Ensure each passenger is treated with respect, empathy, and compassion. Address any questions or concerns with a calm and professional demeanor.
- Timeliness: Maintain an efficient schedule to ensure passengers arrive on time for appointments while adhering to safe driving practices.
Post-Certification Role: Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
(After completing the company-sponsored 50-hour EMR course)
- Drive ambulance and assist EMT with transferring patients onto stretcher, providing oxygen therapy, monitoring vital signs, and assist in safe movement/transport of patients.
- Operate wheelchair, stretcher, and ambulance transports as assigned.
Regularly communicate with dispatcher regarding transportation status and to provide critical information
- Uphold a high standard of patient care, professionalism, and safety.
Required:
- Must be at least 20 years old.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, maneuver, individuals with limited mobility (up to 300 lbs. with partner)
- Strong customer-service and communication skills.
