What are the responsibilities and job description for the Locksmith and Security Technician/Apprentice position at Able Locksmith and Security Center?
We are a well-established full service locksmith and security company seeking an
experienced, full time locksmith with strong sales and customer service skills. Will provide training for apprentice candidates
This position consists of, but not limited to:
• Customer service
• Cutting new or duplicate keys and stamps with identification
• Installing, servicing, and repairing various types of locks and security devices
• Disassembling locks; repair and replace worn tumblers, springs, and other parts
• Moving heavy safes via specialized equipment and training
Skills/Qualifications:
• Ability to use a variety of machinery and tools, such as key cutting machines and drills
• A strong understanding of various types of locking systems and hardware
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Communication and social skills
• Sufficient manual dexterity to use tools and manipulate locking devices
• Flexibility to work both independently and within a team
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in various condition
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Qualifications and Experience:
•High School Diploma or GED equivalent
•A valid Driver’s License
•Ability to pass a detailed background investigation
