Job Summary:
This role exists to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to our people supported. This is achieved through the development, assessment and evaluation of support plans for the people we serve as well as through the hiring, training and supervision of direct care staff.
Role Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Identifies with, shares in, and aligns programs to the vision, mission, core values, and core virtues of ABLE, Inc.
- Facilitates a team environment including the key elements of trust, communication, and empathy.
- Supervises and evaluates the work performance of Direct Support Professionals ensuring each team member receives regular feedback and timely performance evaluations
- Ensures employee performance standards are met and initiates progressive discipline as necessary, consulting with HR when appropriate.
- Educates team members to ensure understanding of responsibilities and a people centered focus. Identify gaps and facilitate training as needed.
- Collaborates with HR to promote staff recruitment, selection, hiring, retention, and training.
- Evaluates staffing patterns and adjusts the schedule to ensure the needs of the people supported are met.
- Assists in the development of support and crisis plans to include assessment, implementation, program review and recording of plan information with accuracy.
- Coordinates quarterly and annual required meetings with the People Supported Team
· Ensures compliance of plans with general licensing requirements.
· Demonstrates a consistent use of behavior intervention and management that is respectful
- Ensures the safety of all individuals and team members.
- Attends and participates in house meetings.
- Works a minimum of 40% of time directly with people supported.
- Core hours vary with focus of being on-site when people supported and staff are on-site
