About the Role
I am seeking a dependable, organized, and proactive Administrative Assistant / Personal Coordinator to support me with daily scheduling, communication, and administrative tasks.
I am severely hard of hearing, read lips, and use American Sign Language (ASL). I also have mild cerebral palsy and a learning disability. This role helps ensure communication is clear, tasks stay organized, and daily activities run smoothly.
This is not a caregiver or personal care role.
No assistance with activities of daily living is needed. This position is focused on administrative support, communication, and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Scheduling Support
- Manage calendars, appointments, and scheduling
- Coordinate meetings, errands, and logistics
- Track tasks and ensure timely follow-up
- Organize digital files, notes, and systems
Communication Support
- Support clear communication throughout the day
- Face-to-face communication to assist with lip reading
- Provide written summaries, reminders, and notes
- Help ensure understanding during conversations and meetings
Email & Coordination
- Assist with email management and responses
- Communicate with vendors, partners, and contacts
- Draft and organize documents and summaries
Meetings & Events
- Take detailed notes during meetings and appointments
- Assist with local speaking engagements and events
- Help set up materials and equipment
Remote Work Responsibilities
- Participate in structured Zoom-based work sessions (not independent work time)
- Maintain organization across digital platforms and tools
Schedule
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Approximately 18 hours per week
- 1–2 days per week in person (Laguna Woods area)
- Weekly Wednesday team meeting
- Occasional weekend availability (about once per month)
Requirements
- Experience in administrative assistant, coordinator, or similar role
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable adapting communication styles for accessibility
- Tech-savvy (Zoom, email, cloud tools, basic troubleshooting)
- Reliable internet and workspace for remote days
Preferred:
- Familiarity with ASL (not required)
Work Style

Compensation
- $21–$23 per hour
