What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Professional-Night Shift (Thursday through Saturday) position at Ability Plus HCS Program?
Responsible for providing care to individuals with intellectual disabilities/autism who reside in a group home. Assist the individuals with activities of daily living, i.e. meal preparation, administration of medication, bathing/showering assistance, house cleaning. Transportation to community activities, day habilitation sites, and medical appointments is required. Must be comfortable working with individuals in a wheelchair.. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently. You must be physically able to perform restraints and CPR. Lifting is required for this position.
Skills: Must be able to read and write. Must be comfortable using a computer. A driver's license is required and good driving record a must. A criminal background screening done prior to interview. Interviews are currently being scheduled. Previous group home experience a plus. Must be reliable and dependable. Must be able to work overnight to apply for this position. Shift is tenatively Thursday 10:30p-8:45a, Friday 10:30p-10:30a, Saturday 10:30p-10:30a.
Group home is located in Wharton. Interviews will be held in Stafford.
