As a key member of our team, you will attend to the educational, physical, social, and emotional needs of our students while assisting the Classroom Teacher and Teaching Assistant in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
Schedule and Responsibilities
The position is Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 3:00pm, with 32.5 hours per week and 48 weeks per year, following the standard school calendar (September - June) with a 6-week summer program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Focusing on individual student goals and assisting in classroom activities.
- Maintaining organized workstations and areas.
- Assisting in material construction and job skill training.
- Participating in therapy sessions and escorting students during bus rides.
- Aiding in specials, such as PE, art, music, and meal preparation.
- Providing personal care, including toileting, feeding, and changing clothes.
- Performing lifting, transferring, and equipment transporting tasks safely.
