- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using openTable or similar reservation systems
- Take accurate breakfast orders, communicate effectively with kitchen staff, and ensure timely food delivery
- Handle food and beverage transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Support food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards for presentation and taste
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and fostering a welcoming environment
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for efficient order processing
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or breakfast settings
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Experience with host/hostess duties, bussing, or serving in nightclubs or hospitality venues is a plus
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling tasks
- Familiarity with OpenTable reservation system is advantageous
- Kitchen experience or culinary background helps in understanding food preparation standards
