Summary
The ideal candidate will have had exposure to consulting with the Controller, CFO, and CEOs of small to mid-size businesses. They will be relied upon to either oversee or prepare individual and corporate tax returns. They will manage audits and reviews of small to mid-size companies. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
- Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting
- principles
- Work closely with team members to assist with the year-end projections
- Assist with the annual audit and/or review process including the draft of the financial statements and related disclosures
- Oversee preparation of related individual and corporate tax returns
- Research and analyze expense variances for company management
- Consult with businesses and be a solution seeker
Qualifications
- 3-5 years· of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
- CPA preferred but not required. Must have education and work requirements met to sit for CPA exam and plan to sit within next 12 months
