What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineered Systems Sales Representative: Join our Dynamic Team! position at ABF Security?
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to help design and support fire alarm, security, CCTV, and access control systems for commercial projects. In this role, you will work closely with customers, sales teams, contractors, and project managers to develop system layouts, prepare project documentation, and help ensure installations meet safety codes and project requirements. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from initial planning and estimating through construction and completion.
What you'll do:
- Design fire alarm, security, CCTV, and access control systems.
- Prepare drawings, plans, and product documentation for customer and regulatory review.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, architects, and internal teams throughout project development.
- Assist with project planning, system layout, and installation documentation.
- Conduct site visits and field surveys to gather information and verify project requirements.
- Review project changes and assist with updates as needed.
- Participate in customer meetings, industry networking events, and training opportunities.
- Support other project and sales-related activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and computer skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Understanding of construction practices and building systems.
- Knowledge of fire and building codes is preferred.
- Experience with design or drafting software is preferred.
Education & Experience:
- Five years of experience in fire protection, security systems, or a related field.
- NICET Level II certification or higher preferred.
- Experience reading and working with floor plans and construction drawings.
