RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee crew performing site work
- Read and understand project plans and specifications
- Communicate construction needs --material, equipment, and staffing in a timely manner to Superintendent to prevent delays
- Inspect work areas throughout construction process to ensure the quality and accuracy of work meets specifications and that crew meets productivity goals
- Monitor and ensure that crew follows safety policies and procedures
- Complete required reports (JHA, production, personnel time and attendance, vehicle, safety, inspection) on a daily basis
- Oversee development and cross training of crew
- Responsible for daily inspection of equipment and reporting of downed machinery to Superintendent
- Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods and equipment performance to improve efficiency

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a utility/pipe foreman
- Proficient in main dig excavator and mini excavator
- Sense of urgency and ability to respond to changing situations is a must
- Ability to adapt, prioritize and complete projects in a changing construction environment
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints and convey this information to others is a must
- Ability to shoot grade and calculate slope percentages
- Ability to communicate problems with solutions regarding any utility work and any scope
- Ability to use technology, including iPad
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are a must
- Have the ability to travel within 60-75 miles of the greater Charlotte Metro Area
- Must pass a pre-employment background screening
