Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Temporary Benefits Specialist to support our Benefits team for a 90-day assignment. This position reports directly to the Benefits Manager and focuses exclusively on employee benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a working knowledge of benefits regulations (such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA), and a passion for delivering excellent employee service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Benefits department with benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding health, dental, vision, and other benefit programs.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Support open enrollment and other benefits-related initiatives.
- Coordinate with benefits vendors to resolve employee issues.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to benefits administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- 3 years of experience in benefits administration or a related role in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, compliance requirements, and regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Additional Information:
Temporary, 90-day assignment with potential, but no guarantee, of conversion to full-time.
Reports to the Benefits Manager.
Compensation: $33 per hour.
