A well-established law firm is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys while also independently managing a diverse litigation caseload. Position Overview
The attorney will assist partners and senior lawyers on active matters while independently handling cases involving personal injury litigation, professional malpractice, commercial litigation, insurance-related disputes, and employment-related matters. The role requires strong litigation skills, legal research ability, and client advisory experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an independent litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Handle matters involving personal injury, professional malpractice, commercial litigation, and insurance disputes
- Conduct legal research, case law analysis, and statutory interpretation
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and litigation documents
- Provide strategic legal advice and risk assessment to clients
- Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Develop case strategies and support trial preparation
- Manage multiple deadlines and maintain organized case files
- Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex litigation matters
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active Bar admission in Pennsylvania (or eligibility for prompt admission)
- Several years of associate-level litigation experience in a law firm environment
- Strong experience in civil litigation, commercial litigation, insurance-related litigation, or personal injury matters
- Experience in labor & employment law is preferred
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Experience handling negotiations, mediations, and dispute resolution matters
- Ability to independently manage multiple active matters and deadlines
