Maintenance Technician- Afternoon & Night Shift

AFTERNOON and NIGHT SHIFTS ONLY

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection to ensure the proper functioning of machinery and equipment. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and mechanical issues using troubleshooting techniques, diagnostic tools, and equipment manuals. Conduct repairs and adjustments to machinery, components, and systems to restore functionality and prevent production disruptions.

• 2. Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities according to established procedures and maintenance schedules. Identify and replace worn or defective parts, such as belts, bearings, motors, and sensors, before they cause equipment failures or breakdowns. Perform predictive maintenance tasks, such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis, to detect potential equipment failures and address them proactively.
• 3. Equipment Setup and Changeovers: Assist in the setup, calibration, and changeover of manufacturing equipment to support production requirements and minimize downtime between product runs. Ensure that equipment settings, tooling, and configurations are properly adjusted and aligned according to production specifications.
• 4. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, alarms, or abnormal operating conditions to minimize production disruptions. Analyze equipment performance data, diagnostic reports, and maintenance records to identify root causes of recurring issues and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with maintenance supervisors, engineers, and production personnel to resolve complex technical problems and optimize equipment performance.

5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others. Perform safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk assessments on equipment and work areas and take corrective actions to mitigate potential hazards. Report safety incidents, near misses, and hazards to management and participate in safety training and awareness programs.

• 6. Perform and maintain all 5S Standardization per company 5S policy.
• 7. Other duties and tasks assigned required.

EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:

• • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Technical Diploma or certificate program in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical trades from a vocational school or community college.
  • Experience in maintenance, repair, or related fields would be preferred. Candidates should possess basic technical skills related to maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance techniques is essential for success in maintenance technician roles.
