Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of toddlers
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that meets health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences, progress, and needs
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly
- Support classroom routines such as diapering or potty training, ensuring respectful and gentle care at all times
Skills
- Proven experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to ensure quick response in emergencies
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and empathy for diverse learners
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
