Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic part-time Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children aged one to three years old. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster early developmental skills, encourage curiosity, and promote positive social interactions among toddlers. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development for toddlers.
- Supervise children closely to ensure their safety at all times during indoor and outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions.
- Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, dressing, and hygiene practices following health and safety guidelines.
- Engage children in playful learning experiences that stimulate curiosity and foster social skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and learning materials regularly.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns in a professional manner.
- Follow all mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and well-being of every child in your care.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in pediatric first aid and child CPR or first aid training are a plus.
- Familiarity with special education strategies or experience working with children with disabilities are a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, enthusiasm, and a nurturing attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety is essential.
