About us:
We are a busy machine shop that takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. We're looking for a dependable Custodian to join our team and help keep our shop in top shape.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of shop floors, restrooms, and break area.
- Sweep, mop, and remove debris from shop areas to maintain a safe workplace.
- Empty trash bins throughout the facility.
- Clean and maintain shop equipment surfaces, workbenches, and common areas.
- Restock supplies such as paper products, cleaning materials, and PPE as needed.
- Collect and clean up metal chips and shavings from machines; transport to designated scrap bins.
Requirements:
- Previous custodial, janitorial, or cleaning experience preferred (industrial setting a plus) but not required.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized.
- Comfortable working in a machine shop/industrial environment.
- Physically able to stand, bend, lift, and move equipment or materials as needed (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliable and punctual.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
